Synthetic Drugs and Other Emerging Drugs of Abuse
Presented by: Bryan Kastelic, Special Agent, Wisconsin Department of Justice, Division of Criminal Investigation
Friday, November 15th
Clark County Courthouse – Auditorium 3:00 pm and Greenwood High School – 6:30 pm
Some products sold as bath salts and potpourri are synthetics-based and can mimic effects of amphetamines, cocaine, marijuana, ecstasy and other illegal drugs if abused. Labeling notes they are not for human consumption. They may be sold at convenience stores, come in popular cartoon character packaging and are inexpensive. These substances are used as recreational drugs, have serious side effects and can be more potent and dangerous than illegal drugs. You are invited to this free event to learn more about these substances and their effects in our community.
